NSO Parent Information
Orientation is a parent's opportunity to find out just what Arkansas State University is all about. You will leave the program with your anxieties relieved and with a better understanding of the exciting and challenging college experience your student will become a part of. Plus, you will join hundreds of other families who will send their students to Arkansas State University.
While it is important for families to attend Family Orientation, it is extremely vital that your student attends New Student Orientation in order to get the best choice of classes for the upcoming academic year. While we cannot promise that your student will get every class that he or she wants, they are much more likely to get their choice during this period than during late registration in August. (Please note that your student cannot just come for fall class registration, nor can he or she register for classes before the scheduled time.
Orientation is informal, so dress casually and wear comfortable shoes. Throw an umbrella in the car because you never know about the weather
Your student must have been admitted to Arkansas State before he or she can schedule classes. Also, all state-supported institutions in Arkansas require proof of immunization for measles, mumps and rubella before students can register for classes. We must receive your student's immunization information before scheduling his or her classes at Orientation.
If your student has questions about his or her admission status or immunization information, please contact:
